Prof. Dr. János Hóvári, the Executive Director of Representation Office of the Organization of Turkic States in Hungary, has unexpectedly passed away. Sultan Raev extended “his condolences to his family, loved ones and the entire Turkic World.”
The passing of this distinguished scholar and Ambassador who was not only deeply respected in Hungarian diplomacy due to his outstanding services as an Ambassador but also made unparalleled efforts for the unity and solidarity of the Turkic World and the Hungarian people during his duty as the Executive Director of the Representation Office of the Organization of Turkic States in Hungary (OTS) in addition to carrying out many activities contributing to the cooperation and rapprochement between our peoples, and devoting his entire life to research in the field of Turkology, has deeply saddened the Turkic World.
The passing away of Ambassador János Hóvári, who was among the close working partners of TÜRKSOY and made invaluable contributions to the activities organized by the latter in Hungary, has caused great sorrow among staff members of TÜRKSOY.
In his post on Ambassador Hóvári’s sudden death, TÜRKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev said: “I wish God’s mercy to Ambassador János Hóvári, who is known as a doyen with his intellectual knowledge, kind personality and love for the Turkic World, and who endeavored for the unity and solidarity of the Turkic World on every platform, and I extend my condolences to his family, loved ones and the entire Turkic World.”
