The Ambassador of Hungary paid a courtesy call on the OTS Secretary General

On November 24, 2022 the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev received the Ambassador of Hungary to Ankara, H.E. Viktor Mátis and the newly appointed Consul General of Hungary to Istanbul, H.E. Attila Pintér.

During the meeting, Ambassador Mátis and Consul General Pintér congratulated H.E. Omuraliyev on his appointment to the post of Secretary General of the Organization by thr Heads of State at the OTS Summit in Samarkand held on November 11, 2022 and wished him success during his term in office. They also reiterated the continuous commitment of Hungary to the multilateral cooperation under the OTS. The Secretary General expressed appreciation for Hungary’s active role and involvement in the Organization.

Moreover, the Parties discussed the outcomes of the Samarkand Summit, made evaluations about the Turkic cooperation within the framework of the Organization, considering the developments taking place in the region surrounding the OTS countries, and exchanged views on the joint initiatives to be realized in the upcoming period by the Budapest Office of the OTS in Hungary.
