The Second Congress on the History of Turkic Statehood was held in Almaty, Kazakistan between October 4-6, 2024. Professor Dr. István Vásáry, the Executive Head of the Representation Office of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Hungary was an invited and special lecturer at the event. At the invitation of Prof. Dr. Shahin Mustafayev, the President of the Turkic Academy – the chief organizer of the event dedicated to the history of Juchi ulus (the country/partial empire of the oldest son of Chinggis Khan, Jochi Khan, the precursor of the Golden Horde) – besides the Turkic countries researchers from all parts of the world (Mongolia, South-Korea, Russia, the US, France, Austria, Bulgaria) arrived at the conference.
An opening remark and a lecture was delivered by Professor Dr. István Vásáry, the Executive Head of the Representation Office of the OTS in Hungary who is at the same time an outstanding representative of this field of research.
On the margins of the Conference, István Vásáry held a meeting with the representatives of the Turkic Academy. The goal of the meeting was to widen cooperation in the field of science, especially the opportunities in cooperation in archeology.
Having accepted to invitation of Professor Rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev, the Executive Head of the OTS paid a visit to and took part in a working lunch at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
